No school all week. Celebrating Thanksgiving Day with plates of turkey, yeast rolls, and baked potatoes, and taking a few moments around the table to count our blessings. Staying up late to watch Sue Thomas FBEye for the first time. Enjoying 60+ degree weather. Picking dandelions . . . twice: once from the ground, and again from my sister's hair. And then making gingerbread cookies with some of my favorite girls (resulting in flour on the floor, an episode of roller-pin chasing, plenty of laughter, and a pretty good batch of cookies, if I do say so myself).
Yep, it's been a great week. 😄
Blessings,
Ellen S.
Ah nice photos. We’ve been watching Sue Thomas FBEye lately too.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteOoh, nice! What're your thoughts on Sue Thomas? So far I've seen only the first couple of episodes (The Pilot parts one and two, and Bombs Away), and look forward to watching more. 😊
Well, there’s a tad bit of romance in a few episodes (and some kisses between some guys and ladies) but other than that, it’s really good and appropriate for ages. We really enjoy them and always get a good laugh out of them. 😀
DeleteOh, awesome! 😄 Thank you!
DeleteYessss Sue Thomas FBEye is the sooo good! My sister and I love it.
ReplyDeleteAnd my mom and I just made a batch of gingerbread too!
Glad to hear! The episodes I've watched have been really fun. 😀
DeleteMmm, yum! 😋 Our gingerbread cookies were gone before morning. I didn't have one, but the kids told me they were good. 😂
Sweet pictures Ellen, what a blessing to have a large family. I have watched Sue Thomas FBEye, you probably know it's based on a true story. Have a wonderful week.

DeleteFun post! I watched Sue Thomas for the first time several years ago, but my family and I will still sometimes go back and rewatch episodes. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHaha, sounds like something we'll be doing a few years from now. 😉
Sounds fun! :)
ReplyDelete🤗🤗🤗
DeleteI had a great Thanksgiving!! We made five pies (which was way more than we truly needed!). There weren't any episodes of roller-pin chasing, but there was plenty of roller-pin swinging. (No one was hurt. 😆) SO glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving too!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful, Natalie! 😄
DeleteThank you so much!!
Sounds like a great week. <3 I LOVE Sue Thomas FBEye. How far are you into it?
ReplyDeleteMy thanksgiving was very uneventful, but delightful. I love wishing on dandelions. Sadly we don't have any anymore. *Sniff*
Thanks, Mikayla! I've only watched the first few episodes, but I've thoroughly enjoyed each one. 😁 Do you have a favorite?
DeleteHonestly, I really love the whole show. I think Newlywed Game might be my favorite though.
DeleteAh, yes, I'm sooooo looking forward to watching that one! My mom and I are hoping Sue and Jack will get married for real. (but don't tell me if they do, please. hard as it may be, we've decided to wait it out and see for ourselves.) 😊
DeleteFun, Ellen! I love the pictures. Happy belated Thanksgiving! We had our grandparents come over and my brother had come home from college 2 days before that. :-) <3
