Life Lately // Impromptu Photo Dump

Hi friends!! Just thought I'd hop on and share with y'all some of the fun pictures I've taken recently along with a few other random tidbits of life. Enjoy!

My sister, Marah, and I have been taking walks almost daily. Between mushrooms and blooming flowers (to see what I'm referring to, scroll down to the next few photos), headphones, water puddles (don't ask >.<), and an old wooden bridge with a scenic view, we're enjoying this time together immensely.

A new book!!!! "Overcomer" is amazing, you guys, and soooooo worth the five+ stars. (Thanks, Lilly, for suggesting I read it! <3)

Special K., almond milk, and fresh (green) bananas. Yummm.

Photo shoots with my sweet four-month-old sister, Ruby Jane. :)

I get to be a judge in Mrs. Marlow's Circle C writing contest!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has been my dream for the past three+ years, so I'm REALLY excited. :D :D :D

Book signing!!!!!!

Lots of rain . . .
Styling my sister's hair. :D

My sweet friend, Emma, brought me some fantabulous bookmail the other day. *all the heart eyes*

By the river!
My amazing (somewhat organized) bookshelf!!

Sisters. <3 <3 <3

And . . . another scenic pic. ;)
Did you enjoy this impromptu photo dump? What was your favorite picture? Do you like your bananas ripe or green? Any books on my shelf that you recognize/own/want to read? Let's talk in the comments below!

The bookshelf picture is the only one that I can't click on to make bigger; I think I recognized some "Dear America" diary books, Grandma's Attic, and Caddie Woodlawn; those are really the only things I could see.

    1. Yeah, I don't know what's up with that. *scratches head thoughtfully* But YES, there are a few "Dear America" books, the Grandma's Attic series, and Caddie Woodlawn. :) All great reads!
      Thanks for commenting, Hannah!

LOL, green bananas (in my opinion) are actually quite yummy. And as for having them with my favorite breakfast cereal? Mmmm. Happiness in a bowl. xD
Thank you! Hope you have a blessed day as well! <3

  7. It looks really pretty where you’ve been walking! What’s Romanov about? Is it about Anastasia?

    1. Hi Laura! Yes, Romanov is essentially a fictional retelling of Anastasia's life. :) It was an enjoyable read, although I think there may have been just a little too much romance and magic thrown in for me. I gave it four stars on Goodreads. :)

Lovely books. I know this is probably a dumb question, but what's Special K?

    1. Girl, you haven't heard of Special K???? *is positively aghast* It's only the best breakfast cereal EVER. :D You can probably find it in the cereal aisle of your local supermarket, if you're interested in trying it out at some point. I like to think of Special K as being a "healthier version" of Rice Krispies. :)

Nope, never heard of Special K. *Googles it* Girl, you know when the last time I have had a box of cereal!? *tries to remember* I think it's been 3+ years. I'll have to try it out at some point in time.🙂

Yes, I did! I finished Romanov like . . . the weekend after you gave it to me. xD (I'm assuming you didn't see my rating on Goodreads?)
      Thanks, friend. :)

  11. I didn't--I just checked and I saw you gave it 4 stars!! That's what I gave it too. XD

    What did you think?? Thoughts??

    1. I really liked it! The plot was well-done and Nadine's writing style (as always) spectacular. I was deeply enthralled the entire time, breathing a sigh of remorse when at last I reached the final page.
Like I told Laura (above), however, there was a bit more romance and mentions of magic than I'd like. Also, as I don't believe that magic and God go together, having the characters entreat to our Lord while using spells of their own just seemed to rub me wrong.
Overall, however, I enjoyed the read and will definitely be coming back to this book sometime soon. :)
      Thanks so much!!!

My mom has been reading "The Family Romanov" out-loud to us, and the Romanov's religion was very pagan. Alexandra (Anastasia's mother) and some of the kids had a LOT of icons and constantly prayed to them. Then there's the magic part and their religion was really weird. (Similar to Catholic.) (I don't know if I recommend "The Family Romanov", we haven't finished it and I think my mom cut a few parts out.)

  12. Mmm... Special K. So yummy, especially the strawberry kind. Cute pictures! I also prefer slightly under-ripe green bananas. I like the firmness and I think it tastes better. :)

    1. Yessssss. I haven't yet tried the strawberry flavor (only the plain). I'll have to keep that in mind . . .
Yay!! Another under-ripe green banana lovin' blogger friend! xD *offers you a high-five*
