I already follow you on your blog, I am MOST CERTAINLY going to share this with a friend, and here is my whisper: Through this crazy quarantine, this extrovert has really been struggling! With literally NOTHING on my calendar for the entire month of April, I found myself a little down in the dumps. However (I do so love that word), God has been showing me how much He's in control and that staying home isn't a bad thing. I've done so much with my family, and I've enjoyed facetiming grandparents and friends as well! Thanks for the oppurtunity, Ellie! Hope to hear from you soon! ~Caleigh

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway! I am following you on Amazon, following your blog via email and blogger, and have already been telling my family and friends about how excited I am for this book! And I will for sure continue to spread the word! I think a whisper God has been giving me, is to be patient and that He is in control. From this whole virus to knowing that my family is planning on moving soon, I have been having to learn patience. God is in control, and he has the perfect timing for everything. <3

I was sitting on the porch a few months ago, watching a very light snow. It was so pretty coming down, but, almost as soon as it hit the ground, it melted. What was the point there? Then I went inside a wrote a poem about it - that's one of the ways I know God speaks to me. He showed me, through melting snow, what the little bitty things in life can mean. A smile, a spur-of-the-moment text, a few words that disappear...they can all be beautiful.

God's shown me throughout my life how powerful art is to convey his glory. Whether music, stories, visual art, poetry, dancing, etc, He is glorified when we create things for His glory. :)

ReplyDeleteCount me IN!! Here is my one entry. The "whispers I hear": I think one of the ways that God speaks to me is through the words of music. Different songs will touch me at different times, depending on what I am going through at the moment. And sometimes when it seems like nothing is going right, I hear a little voice that tells me I am still loved no matter what.

I'm entering!
ReplyDeleteA whisper of mine that God gave me? During my stem cell transplant, I reacted to the DMSO in the cells. My throat and nose closed up and I began to suffocate. It was a traumatic time, but oddly enough, there was this overwhelming peace. All I remember doing is focusing on my parents' eyes without any fear as the doctors rushed around me. Peace. God gave me peace. He whispered to my heart and calmed my soul and granted me a peace of unspeakable measure. He is amazing. I felt Him then as I look back to that incident.
God will grant you peace. He's always there. I know that for sure. He is always there and WILL give you PEACE.
